Vehicle Fire Investigation

Our vehicle fire experts all trained under our founder, Lee S. Cole, who was considered the guru of vehicle fire investigation. Lee Cole was also well-known as the author of many guides and instruction manuals in the field of vehicle fire investigations and trained many of the current vehicle fire investigators nationwide through our firm’s seminars. All of our investigators have extensive knowledge in vehicle fires through training, testing, and past experience.

Vehicle Theft Investigation

Our expertise in vehicle theft investigation includes not only finding out information regarding the theft, but also in determining if the vehicle was actually legitimately stolen. Our experts sift through the scene debris and if enough evidence is found we can ascertain whether the ignition lock cylinder was bypassed in any way or whether the proper key was used to last move the vehicle.

Mechanical Evaluation

We have many qualified experts who can determine mechanical failures of tires, air bags, brakes as well as most other vehicle components. This has helped many clients in the area of product liability. From seat belt issues to detailed engine investigations, our qualified investigator’s experiences are too numerous to list.

Accident Reconstruction

Our accident reconstructionist had many years of experience in law enforcement prior to becoming a privately certified reconstructionist with the association ACTAR (Accreditation Commission for Traffic Accident Reconstruction). Constant attention to the latest methods and dedication to continuing education in this field ensures that his skills are kept current.

Vehicle Fire Database - NHTSA recalls and our investigations

We maintain a database composed of findings on over 5,000 cases. Our one-of-a-kind database covers cause and origin of specific fires in virtually every make and model of automobile. We've also included other information, such as PE's and newspaper articles pertaining to vehicle fires. Clients typically call us with the year, make, and model along with area of origin. We can quickly scan our database to determine if there have been similar fire cases, and/or recalls or service bulletins covering your particular issue. We have several individuals on staff who also provide seminars to others in the field as well as to our clients. The Lee S. Our best seller, "The Investigation of Motor Vehicle Fires", now in its 4^th edition, is used in many training applications for vehicle fire investigators and is mentioned as the source for more information on vehicle fire investigation in books such as the very recognized "Kirk’s Fire Investigation".
